I've added a new thread about our summer trip to the Forum - look under Trip Plans And Inquiries. Add your own comments!

I'm hoping people will get accustomed to staying in touch by way of the Forum. If you want to see what other hiking forums have to offer, look at Backpacker , Knowledge Repository, Adirondack Forum, or Portland Hikers. And if you think our Forum looks a bit like some of those, that's because I was 'inspired' by theirs when setting our own up.

Our February hikes seem to fall into two groups more than usual. The Mt Nebo and Lee Creek hikes will be great for beginner hikers and those who like to take it easy on the trail (that's me!). The Tall Peak and Black Mountain hikes will please those TrailBlazers looking for a challenge. And the Full Moon hike will be great for people looking for something a little different.

So I guess I'll see you on the trail, as long as you're on one of the easy ones!

Parts of our website are shaping up. We still plan to allow TrailBlazers to post pictures on the site someway, somehow, but are still working out the mechanics. Bear with us.

One section that has not changed a lot lately is the Articles page. What else do we need there? Send a suggestion for a general-interest article about hiking that would interest the group to info@thcfs.com. Better yet, let us know you'd like to write one!

Welcome to our new site!! It is so cool!

You should feel at home, because most of the old website's features are under the same headings here. This blog is new, and we'll try to keep it full of interesting comments. The Forum is also new, and should be a great way for TrailBlazers to stay in touch with each other between hikes. It will be limited to TrailBlazers only, so ask at the next hike for the password.

This website is tailor-made for TrailBlazers, so use the Contact Us menu link to pass along your great ideas for it.
