Glory Hole and Magnolia Falls

TrailBlazers will hike to two waterfalls, Glory Hole and Magnolia Falls, Saturday, April 15.

One of Arkansas's most recognizable falls, Glory Hole is a partially enclosed cavern with a hole in the top that is the site of the cascading falls. The waterfall was created over time by water carving out a hole through the bluff shelter. The trail is a 1.9 mile out-and-back hike and is generally considered moderately challenging. From there we will travel a couple of miles up the road to hike to Magnolia Falls, a 26-foot waterfall that pours into a great little pool of water. The area around Magnolia Falls is very scenic beyond just the falls itself with some great bluffs and rock features. Hopefully, the area's namesake Magnolia trees will be blooming.  Please sign up on our website, www.thcfs.com, if you plan to attend.  Meet at Cloverleaf Plaza parking lot in Van Buren for an 8 AM departure.  Bring lunch and water.
