Sixteen showed up on a chilly, overcast Saturday morning to hike Hawksbill Crag, a first for some in our group. The hike warmed the body and cleared the lungs. We witnessed a young couple from Louisiana get engaged on the Crag. Devin got down on one knee and asked Lauren to marry him. She said yes! It was a complete surprise for her and those of us who witnessed the happy occasion. We wish them a wonderful life together.
Our next stop was Lost Valley where we had lunch before hiking. Eden Falls was beautiful capping off the hike. On our return trip home, a small herd of elk grazed near the highway. It was a great way to end the day.
