Nineteen happy hikers enjoyed sunshine and good company on the Cove Lake Loop.

The trail was rather wet, but passable, and the scenery lovely. We added to the loop by climbing up a not-too-steep but relentlessly uphill trail to the overlook.  The back side of the lake was made passable by bridges both large and small, some built by Eagle Scouts, over creeks feeding to the lake.  After lunch at a picnic area, it was just a walk in the park and back across the spillway to the cars.
