On a 27-degree morning, fifteen TrailBlazers braved the cold to hike Cove Lake Loop Trail.

After taking our group picture, we headed out on the very rough, rocky trail along the shore line. We chose to hike up the mountain for the view of Mt Magazine in the distance.  We crossed several wooden bridges that have been built by Boy Scouts over the years. The creeks along the way had a layer of ice on the surface. The trail meanders through the woods eventually arriving at the camping area where we stopped to have our lunch. From there we followed the shore line back to the highway and the parking area.  Pedometers logged about 4.5 miles.
