Nine TrailBlazers traveled to Lincoln Lake on a cool, cloudy morning after a rough night of area storms.

There were still lots of pretty fall colors along I-49 and in the woods surrounding the lake. After the previous night's rain, we were surprised to find a crossing spot at the creek where we did not have to put on our wading shoes. We found a spot among the huge boulders to sit and eat our lunch. Once we got to the point overlooking the lake, we saw a snake in the cold water. Half of us thought it was a stick but it swam off and proved us wrong.  Another great hike today. Join us next week as we travel to Petit Jean State Park to hike the beautiful Seven Hollows Trail.
